The dividing mountains
This mountain range divides Vahassa in two unequal parts – with the large, fairly fruitful savannah to the west, and the Bitto, a smaller, less arable land to the east of the mountains. The mountains themselves stretch almost all the way from the salty desert in the north to the bushland in the south, creating a difficult passage from east to west.
The mountains themselves are tall enough to create a verdant rain pattern at their western foot, where plants (and animals) can grow enormous and healthy. These lands are actually quite difficult to forge a path through because of the large and often dangerous creatures that live in this area. The mountains are somewhat more barren than the other mountains of Elwarne, hosting no natural sentient race. The mountains are rather rocky and somewhat desolate, especially at their peaks.
