Myconids are a short-lived race of fungus people, who are originally from the swamp mountains in the centre of Manxiga. They are a truly other-worldly race, difficult to empathise with by most of the other humanoid races. They communicate through careful release of spores into the air, do not sleep, and have a very unique outlook on life. Some have questioned whether myconids are highly familial, but it is well-known that they are a completely united race, refusing to complete with each other, but fiercely competing with other traders. In truth, they seem to mostly just talk business with most people.
Myconids are everywhere. They quickly saw the opportunities of exploration brought by kender, and so have spread to all civilised corners of the world. They run shops, and search areas of the wild for useful items. They have taken up agriculture to farm fungus, but apart from that have been relatively happy with their lives. The myconids have discovered economics, but they only make use of money markets where they exist, and to keep notes with literacy. They do make use of administration, however, for greatly increased efficiency and organisation in their trading schemes. Most other gifts can simply be bought with their vast wealth. Myconids have found little use for religion.
Myconids are traders extraordinare. They are capable of placing an exact value onto almost any object or service, and are ruthless profiteers.
